On March 6
th, 2013, at the Centre of International Trade, Moscow, there took place the III International Congress “ERA-GLONASS”. “Modern Technologies for ensuring road safety and comfort”. The Noncommercial Partnership “GLONASS” acted as the organizer of the Congress, the operator of the event was Professional Conferences.
Within the event the attendees of the Congress discussed the topical issues of the implementation and operation of the ERA-GLONASS system: the deployment of the system in Russia, the interaction with emergency response services, the development of the system-based navigation-information services, the role of mobile operators in the project, the cooperation on the building of emergency response systems in Kazakhstan and Belarus, the harmonization of the Russian system with the European eCall one, and also the preparedness of motorcar manufacturers for the introduction of the ERA-GLONASS system.
The Congress was attended by representatives of state organizations and departments such as:
- The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation
- The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation
- The Committee of the State Duma for Economic Policy, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship
- The Department of Industry and Infrastructure of the Government of the Russian Federation
- The Department of Infrastructure Projects of the Ministry of Communication and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.
The Congress was visited by more than 500 delegates from 15 countries of the world. They included heads of the Russian and foreign autoconcerns, operators of mobile communication, manufacturers of component base and car electronic equipment, and also representatives of the Russian and European experts in the field of technical regulation.
