On July 1, 2013 they have launched a contest for the national awards in the sphere of event tourism «Russian Event Awards 2013» given for achievements in the industry of event tourism. The results of the contest will be reviewed in Vladimir on December 9-11, 2013.

The national awards in the sphere of event tourism «Russian Event Awards» were instituted as trade awards given according to the results of the open project contest, for achievements in the industry of event tourism.
The awards are held for the purpose of identifying the most interesting and successful projects in the sphere of event tourism, as well as bringing them to the attention of authorities, businesses and general public.

•  The best project in the sphere of culture (festivals, contests, concerts, carnivals, performances; opening of museums, theatres, exhibition halls).
•  The best project in the sphere of sports (competitions, sport rallies, extreme sports festivals)
•  The best project of historical nature (historical reconstructions; festivals devoted to historic dates and events).
•  The best project on popularizing folk traditions and crafts (arts and crafts fairs, concerts, ethno-cultural and folk festivals).
•  The best project of business nature (conferences, forums, business meetings, exhibitions, etc.)
•  The best project on popularizing event tourism (events focused on developing the event tourism as an industry).
•  The best platform for developing event tourism (the originality and infrastructure are considered).
•  The best idea of developing event tourism (the projects, which were not implemented before, are considered).
•  Person (award for personal achievements in developing event tourism).
