Set of Non-commercial Partnership “GLONASS” meetings

ProfConferences participated in organizing a set of NP “GLONASS” meetings in June and July 2015. At the meetings the participants discussed issues related to the certification of emergency service call devices and vehicles equipped with emergency service call devices. In 2015 this topic became especially important. The meetings provide a unique opportunity to learn point of views of different players of the market and to make changes in certification standards, which will be introduced to the commission for approving inter-state standards for emergency service call devices and vehicles equipped with emergency service call devices.

At the current moment the national certification standards have already been developed and approved with Rosstandart’s orders. The development and approval of inter-state standards are next step according to the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union “On Wheeled Vehicle Safety” (TR TS 018-2011).

The ERA-GLONASS system was put into commercial operation on January 1, 2015. The ERA-GLONASS devices have to be installed into all models of cars, firstly going through the type approval in countries of EAEU. The car components, providing satellite navigation and calling emergency services, have to go through the certification procedure. A certificate of conformance can be issued only by agencies that were accredited and certified.
